I got a brand-new mower

We live outside the city limits; in fact, we live on a quarter mile dead end dirt road ~ our little slice of Alva heaven. We have 2.2 acres of land that we cleared ourselves, so we saved many of the original trees. That leaves us about an acre-in-a-half of grass to mow. I love to mow the grass, to me it’s relaxing, helps me clean my mind which helps release my quirkee thoughts 😊 Plus, it’s great exercise! But, after years of me mowing our yard with my push mower, my hubby bought a brand-new riding mower ~ let the arguing begin.  I thought a fair compromise was for me to mow around the house and he could mow the rest of the property ~ a good arce-ish’. Yet, like with anything new, we want to use it till the new-ness wears off ~ enter plan B. My hubby flies remote control planes and sometimes he flies in our neighbors’ side yard, so I suggested that he volunteer to mow the side pasture where he flies ~ hence he could ride on his ‘brand-new’ mower for about 45 minutes ~ win-win. Which lead me to re-write a song just for him and his ‘brans-new’ mower 😊

 I ride my mower, I don't push mow no more
